We just finished parent conferences at school. I have some of the best, most thoughtful parents, and they are so kind, and want us to be so happy here in Korea. They are very generous and want to share their favorite things with me. Several brought presents, like flowers, chocolates, and one parent brought me a gigantic beautiful box of rice desserts. These are very popular here in Korea, everyone just loves them... I guess that is why I keep thinking it will be different...

| .... uhhhh... this actually has a *pinkish* tint.... it actually looks like a cross section of an organ... In actuality, these have the consistency of rubber cement... I tried one, and then was able to share the generosity with all of the Koreans that I work with... they were really thankful that I do not have a sophisticated palate! |
