We have been back in Korea for about one week now, but other than getting over jet lag we have not done anything really exciting, as you will see from the pictures....
Right now the weather is hot and humid, the perfect breeding ground for gigantic bugs. One day while I was getting my classroom ready the kids were outside playing and started collecting bugs. Check out the size of these praying mantis! |
They caught about 40 of them in this big Twizzler jar, yuck! |
While we were in the US I got this International Driving Permit from AAA. All you have to do is bring in $15 and a passport photo and you can drive anywhere in the world with this permit. Except the US (notice the fine print???). |
If you look closely you will find Korea, right between Kenya and Kuwait, where I can also drive legally with this permit! |
The three red AAA stamps mean that this important document is real. |
So here I am driving. In Korea. In traffic. Using 10 and 2 safety hands. |
Notice the handy GPS in the car? It tells you helpful information, like a bus lane is coming up, or a bump, but all of the streets are in Korean, so I can't actually use it to get anywhere. Also, to make the ride even more fun, we had the radio tuned to 80's music, where we got to listen to a classic... George Michael singing I Want Your S*x. Really. |
These pictures are just some fun shots from Home Plus. Because sometimes you have to make your own fun. This is one of three aisles of rice cookers. |
A cute Hello Kitty toilet seat. You know I am obsessed with toilets here, so this just had to be included. |
Making our own fun. |
Another fun thing... toilet paper. This one is called MonaLisa Prime. Hmmmmm. Not sure DaVinci had this in mind when he was painting his masterpiece. |
This TP comes with power embossing. I'm not clear on the selling point of that. |
The ever clever Roll Roll. |
Fancy TP, you know, for weddings. |
And this has to be my favorite. My Pet. Let me know if you figure it out. |
I love it!
